Former-Manchester United midfielder Kléberson scored for Flamengo after a year of uncertainty as the Rubro-Negro beat fierce rivals Fluminense 2-0.
Kleberson, 32, had been sent to train with the reserves by former-manager Vanderlei Luxemburgo as soon as he arrived at the club, then spending last-season on loan at Atlético-PR.
However, due to injury, space opened up in the Flamengo midfield and Kléberson took full-advantage, turning-up at the back-post to turn the ball home after fine work from left-back Magal.
Ronaldinho had put Flamengo in-front from the penalty-spot, but the Seleção star was dismissed later in the first-half for a second-yellow card, after two clumsy challenges.
Now the task for Kléberson is to cement his place in the team, with many of his midfield rivals expected to be on the sidelines for the forseeable future.
