The Biancocelsti beat their arch-rivals 2-1, but their achievements have been overshadowed by a sections of the clubs fans ‘monkey" chants.
On Monday, the president of the Italian Football Federation, Giancarlo Abete, condemned the racist abuse. He said:
"We are at the forefront in the fight against racism.
"There is a great commitment against discrimination. In early May we will organise a European conference with the [European-based anti-racism] organisation FARE.
"Racist behaviour is unacceptable.
"We must intensify this battle. There should be respect for diversity because we belong to one race, the human race."
