The five-time world champions managed to beat their European opponents 2-1 in Switzerland last Tuesday, but it was thanks to Sasa Papac’s 91st minute own goal that handed them the victory.

”The team is very good, despite not playing great football in the last friendly,’’ Bebeto told Globoesporte.

”The team won and is undergoing a renovation. I’m sure we will do very well in 2014. There are new talents coming through all the time.”

One player who is receiving heavy criticism for his recent performances for Brazil is Ronaldinho.

However, Bebeto believes the national team need players with experience, singling out the Flamengo forward, Kaká and Robinho.

”There is always room for players like Ronaldinho, Kaká and Robinho,” the 48-year-old said.

”In Ronaldinho’s case, he hasn’t played well in recent games, but it just depends on him.”
