Robinho turned-in one of his best performances in a Milan shirt and ended the game with two goals to show for his efforts.

“Certainly things are looking good, but we need the same attitude in the second leg too,” Robinho told RAI Sport. “We cannot allow our opponents a chance.

“We know that we have the quality to fight on all fronts and will try our best.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who laid-on both goals for his Brazilian colleague, was praising of Robinho’s performance, in a week when Robinho was yet again omitted from the Brazil squad.

“I’m happy for Robinho,” said the Swede, talking to Italian TV. “The important thing is that he continues playing and scoring.”
