Caio Junior"s men went in to the game as overwhelming favourites against Ypiranga on Wednesday night, and were fortunate to run out 2-1 victors against their lowly opponents.

The home side took the lead mid-way through the first half, but Marcelo Moreno managed to get Grêmio back on level terms in the 57th minute.

The game looked as if it would see both sides sharing the points, but much to the delight of the Tricolor fans, Douglas Grolli headed home the winner seconds before the final whistle.
