The 29-year-old striker has so far made just four appearances for the Timão since joining from Roma in March.
An achillies problem forced Adriano out of action for the vast majority of last season, but since recovering from the injury in October, the player has struggled to get back to full fitness.
"He lost a bit [of weight] last week. This week, virtually nothing is visable. We need to continue working with him," Mahseredjan said.
