Diego Tardelli has struggled to adapt to life in Russia since making the move in March and has been heavily linked with a return to Brazil in the January transfer window.

According to Roberto Carlos, now a player-coach of Anzhi, Palmeiras have apparently already tabled a €4 million offer for Tardelli.

However, the Paulista clubs vice President, Roberto Frizzo, has come out and refuted the former Real Madrid players claims, insisting the board have not even discussed bringing the striker to the club.

”I have not spoken to anyone about the player. He’s an interesting player, but we’ve not talked about him,” Frizzo explained to Rádio Globo.

”If there was some talks with our former player (Roberto Carlos), it may have been with César Sampaio (Palmerias’ director of football). Making transfers is impossible without me knowing.”

Tardelli announced on his twitter that he’s very happy with the interest from some clubs and will start negotiating a deal after returning from his holiday on the 23rd December.

His former club Atlético Mineiro, as well as Vasco are believed to be keen suitors but have yet to make an offer.
