The Saudi prince expects the take over to go through in the next few weeks and believes he’ll be able to sign Ronaldinho from Flamengo as soon as December.
Speaking to Novaspor FM on Tuesday, Sultan’s spokesman Vlassis Tsakas said, ”Ronaldinho will be in Athens on December 17th to sign for Panathinaikos. We have made contact with Ronaldinho’s agent and of course the player himself if aware of the move. He is an expensive player, but we will do everything we can to overcome the difficulties. I can see this going ahead.”
Tsakas also confirmed the Saudi prince is willing to bid up to €30 million for the former Barcelona ace, with the contract lasting until 2014.
However, Ronaldinho currently has a contract with Flamengo that runs untill 2014 with a buy out clause of €160 million.
