Palmeiras midfielder Pierre is currently on loan at the Minas Gerais outfit and with the club hoping to make it permanent, Daniel Carvalho could be used as a makeweight in any deal.
“[Atlético-MG Vice-President] Maluf came to me and said Palmeiras offered an exchange of Pierre for me. There was interest.
“They did not know that my contract was ending. After the game, they approached me," said the midfielder, talking to Radio Itatiaia .
Carvalho"s contract expires next summer and thus, it is likely the player will make a move soon. However, the UEFA Cup winner would like to remain at Galo.
“From December, I can sign with any team. I have had interest from other teams, but I have made it clear that my priority is to stay here."
