The Argentinian picked up a thigh injury in his side’s 5-1 thrashing against title contenders Flamengo on Sunday.
Montillo under went an MRI scan and the results revealed that it’s only a small injury in the left thigh that will rule the playmaker out for up to ten days.
Cruzeiro’s doctor, Sérgio Freire Júnior confirmed, ”the MRI scan confirmed an injury, a small injury (grade 1) in the posterior region of the left thigh. He has already started treatment and will out for up to ten days.”
This means that Montillo wont be back untill Cruzeiro face Atlètico Paranaenese on the November 20th. In that time, Cruzeiro will be with out their star man for their games against Internacional and fellow relegation candidates, Avai.
