When asked about the chances of him playing for Santos in their centenary year next campaign, Ganso has been full of caution in his responses – in stark contrast to teammate Neymar.
“We have to wait until after the Club World Cup to sit down and talk again about it,” said the Number 10.
“We can not mess with things right now. I know that 2012 will be an important year for Santos, but I want to wait to make any decision.”
Luis Álvaro de Oliveira Ribeiro, the Santos president, had planned to renew the player’s contract this season, but the midfielder has preffered to delay.
“I need to get back to playing again and would rather wait a little longer,” he said.
