Jefferson: “I dream of playing for a big European club”

It was confirmed earlier this week that AC Milan are amongst the club’s watching the star of the Seleção’s victory over Mexico and Jefferson is not prepared to rule-out a move.

“I am glad to learn that proposals will come,” said the 28-year-old keeper.

I still have a dream of playing for a big club in Europe, and Milan is one of those. But, there is nothing concrete.

“I’m fine here and I have a dream of competing in the Copa Libertadores. But if see a good deal for me and for Botafogo, I will consider it.”

However, following stints in Turkey at Konyaspor and Trabzonspor between 2005 and 2009, Jefferson realises he must be more selective at this stage of his career.

“Today the situation is different when I went to Turkey, at 22. We needed financially, today we think of the 2014 World Cup, so I can not go to any team.
