Officially Cruzeiro are asking for €14 million as a fee for their Argentine playmaker, but the people in charge at the Paulista club believe €10 million would be enough to secure his services.

Jorge Henrique has fallen out of favour at Corinthians and given the club’s plans for more attacking recruits is set to depart this summer window, despite a recent contract renewal.

Although the player’s agent stated to LANCE! that he has heard nothing of any bid, it is widely known the player has been an option to be used as a makeweight for some time, having also been offered as part of an earlier bid for Cruzeiro’s Diego Renan.

Montillo is 80% owned by the Belo Horizonte club, but 20% of the player’s rights are handled by Banco BMG, who also own rights to many Corinthians players, such as Ralf, Paulinho and Willian.
