The two sides were originally supposed to meet in a friendly at the beginning of September. However, Egypt withdrew due to commitments in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers, and were replaced by Ghana.

Now, according to Ahram Online, Zaher has announced that the fixture has been rescheduled, with the two teams set to go head-to-head twice in the next five months.

“The first match between Egypt and Brazil will be played in Doha, Qatar on November 15,” he said at a recent press conference. “The second match will be played in Cairo on February 28.”

It means that the Seleção will see out 2011 with a trip to play Gabon on November 11, before facing Egypt in the Middle East four days later.

The last time Brazil faced the Pharaohs was in the 2009 Confederations Cup, winning a thrilling game 4-3 thanks to a stoppage time penalty from Kaka.
