The forward has been linked with a move away from the club as he wants to be offered a new deal at the club and this could be the last chance to seal a dream move to European football.
Dagoberto has came out and said if he deosn’t get an improved deal, he will leave on a free transfer.
Dagoberto told Terra: “It is well established that I have my personal projects.
“I have a contract and an agreement with Sao Paulo until 2012. If an agreement can’t be reached, then it is possible that Sao Paulo follows its life, and I follow mine.”
This is the biggest hint yet that Dagoberto could be prepared to leave Brazil with a host of European clubs previously linked to the former Atletico-PR man.
Villareal, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle have all been linked to the player who has never been capped at full senior level for Brazil.
However, the club’s deputy president, John Paul Lopez says that Sao Paulo wants to keep him at the club and that contract talks are ongoing with his representatives.
