The Seleção have lost their last two games, with the Copa America quarter-final exit against Paraguay followed by a 3-2 loss to Germany in a friendly last month.

“It is time to win again,” Alves told CBF. “We are forming a group and a team. Of course we are all upset by the last result, because here is the place to win.

“But I am sure we are on the right track in search of the ultimate goal, which is the 2014 World Cup,” he added.
