Fabiano hasn’t set a return date yet, but was tweeting earlier saying how excited he is to make a comeback to football.
Fabiano tweeted: “After much fighting and one of the worst periods of my career, I can now say that all this suffering will be behind me.”
The striker has never played for Sao Paulo as surgery on his injured tendon in his left knee has meant a long spell out on the sidelines.
Further surgery was needed but the Brazil international is hoping all his injury problems are behind him.
Fabiano completed his move to Sao Paulo from Spanish club Sevilla for £6.7million in March but injury has prevented him making his debut.
If he can reproduce the form he showed in La Liga, he could soon find himself back in the Brazil national team squad.
