Corinthians 2-1 America Mineiro

The home side went ahead in the very first minute with a goal from Jorge Henrique, but America equalised through Kempes on 14′. Paulinho scored Corinthians’ winner on 67′, and a minute later Gilson was sent off for the visitors for his second yellow card.

Cruzeiro 0-1 Flamengo

Flamengo kept up the pressure on Corinthians and maintained their unbeaten record in the league with victory at Cruzeiro. The only goal of the game was scored by Deivid on the stroke of half-time.

Coritiba 1-1 Palmeiras

Palmeiras lost ground on the top two with a draw away to Coritiba. Jeci put the hosts 1-0 up after nine minutes, but ten minutes later Marcos Assuncao levelled things up for the visitors, who had Thiago Heleno sent off on 77′.
