Barca were not at full strength, but still fielded the likes of 2010 World Cup winners Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets, as well as Brazilian fullback Maxwell. They took the lead on 14 minutes through Thiago.

It remained 1-0 at half-time, but ten minutes after the break Inter equalised via Nei. Six minutes later, the Spanish giants retook the lead thanks to Jonathan dos Santos, but Inter hit back again and levelled on 84′ with a header from Leandro Damiao.

The game finished 2-2 and went straight to penalties. Both sides were successful with their opening spot kicks, but Damiao missed Inter’s second. Jeffren’s effort was saved, but Ze Mario blazed over and allowed Armando to seal Barca’s place in the final.

That final takes place later today, as Barcelona face hosts Bayern Munich. Before that however is the third place play-off, with Inter going up against AC Milan. The game kicks off at 17:15 UK time.
