Robinho: “The thought of losing has not entered our heads. Our goal is to win this competition. I do not even think about losing. We cannot fail; that would be fatal for us. We must be focused from the start and try to cope with the pressure of the game.”

Alexandre Pato: “It will be a very tough game. We cannot afford to make mistakes. Both teams will want to secure victory, but we are confident that we can win this game.”

Maicon: “We know we cannot win matches on the strength of our name alone. We must be at 100 per cent, and play with determination. That is how we will get the result we want.”

Andre Santos: “We must stay focused and determined, as Paraguay are a clever team. We must work hard to counter their strengths. It will be very open early on, and they will attack us. It will be tough and we will need to know when to strike.
