The 19-year-old has consistently been linked with a move to Europe, and it had been reported that five bids for him had been accepted by Santos, but his latest comments seem to suggest he won’t be going anywhere for the time being.
“I have a contract that I intend to honour,” he said in an interview with Corujao do Esporte, a programme on Brazilian television channel O Globo.
Any decision on Neymar’s future will have to be put on hold for now, as he is with the Brazil squad hoping to win the 2011 Copa America in Argentina.
