Santos’ flight was cancelled

A volcanic ash cloud coming from Chili is disturbing the flights in southern Brazil. TAM cancelled Santos flight booked for this morning.

The Paulistas were still hoping to make the trip to Uruguay today. They could change company and fly with the Uruguayan Pluma or take a plane to Porto Alegre and travel by bus from there.

So far no decision has been taken.

Tickets were sold out in 15 minutes:

After the sale to the members last week, Penarol had around 30,000 tickets left to sell. Yesterday, queues of people were already waiting in front of the ticket offices long before the opening hours.

The remaining 32,000 tickets were sold out in 15 minutes.

Special visit for their last training

For their last training in Sao Paulo before the first leg of the final Santos received the visit of Pele. “I’m here to sue Neymar,” said the former start. “This Mohican on his head, I was already using it in 58 and here is the proof,” He said while pointing at a picture of him and Garrincha.

Pele, who dominated South American football with Santos, said he wasn’t here only because Santos was in the Final. “I’m always here,” he said. “And I hope those young men can do what we did in 1962.”
