The young Santos striker has shot to prominence over recent months and is currently coveted by a host of top European clubs. However, Pele, who also spent many years at Santos, says there are certain aspects of Neymar"s game that need to be improved.
“I think Neymar needs a bit more maturity," said Pele. “He is worrying too much about playing for the fans. One other thing I was talking about, and I think [Santos coach] Muricy Ramalho will remove that vice from him, is that Neymar has become a left-winger. A player of his quality cannot just stand there."
In contrast to Pele"s words, Ronaldo was full of praise for Neymar. The two played together against Romania in Ronaldo"s final game for the Seleção, who posted on his Twitter account: “If I was lucky enough to play with Neymar and Robinho as my attacking partners, I would not have stopped so early."
