Mano Menezes confirms 90% of the team: by Thales Machado for Sambafoot, direct from Sao Paulo.

The legendary striker, who wore the number nine for Brazil in the 1998, 2002 and 2006 World Cups, and as well as winning the competition in 2002 was an unused squad member in 1994, will make a cameo appearance for 15 minutes, between the half hour mark and half-time.

Ten players will have the honour of being on the pitch for Ronaldo’s swansong. However, despite the best efforts of the CBF, the player who he replaces will not be allowed to re-enter the field. The Brazil football federation had hoped that it would not count as one of their official six substitutions, but have been denied this request.

Brazil coach Mano Menezes says he has not yet decided on his full starting line-up for the game, with Henrique and Elano both contenders to play in midfield. It is likely that Fred will be the man to make way for Ronaldo, meaning fans will get the chance to see both a past and a future legend up front: Ronaldo and Neymar.

The team will see six changes from the match against the Netherlands and should start as follows:

Victor; Maicon, David Luiz, Lucio, Andre Santos; Sandro, Elias, Henrique (or Elano); Robinho, Neymar, Fred.
