Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar has dismissed reports that he has already signed for an English club.

Reports from South America and England have claimed that the Flamengo custodian is on his way to The Premiership.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been linked with Cesar, who seems set to leave Flamengo.

Cesar admitted he is unlikely to extend his contract at Flamengo, but is unsure where he will end up if he does, as expected, leave.

“I have heard many comments in Brazil saying that I have already been transferred to an English team, but it’s funny because nobody says the name of the team,” Julio Cesar told TV Bandeirantes.

“It would be nice for me to know the name, so I know where I will play because nobody has told me anything yet.

“I am under contract with Flamengo until December 31 and I know that it will be difficult for me to renew my contract with this team, but what I can say for sure, at the moment, is that I haven’t been transferred to any team.”
