Atletico had go in front through Marcos Llorente’s goal in the first half, but goals from  Dominik Szoboszlai and Mergim Berisha had shifted the game outcome in the away side’s favor early in the second half.

But Felix with an excellent performance helped his side to regain control of the game with an equalizer,

before firing them ahead with five minutes to spare till the end of the game, erasing the bad memory of the 4-0 defeat they took from the European Champions in their UCL opener.

Bayern Munich leads the table with six point after beating Lokomotiv Moscow, followed by Atletico with three and Lokomtiv and Salzburg shares a point apiece.

Atletico took the lead in the half hour mark as Llorente drilled the ball low pass Salzburg goalkeeper Cican Stankovic from 25 yards, who feels he should have done better with it and kept it out.

Llorente should have doubled the advantage minutes later, when he found himself in a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper but was wasted.

But it was Salzburg that found the net instead after some sloppy play in midfield was thrashed pass goalkeeper Jan Oblak by Szoboszlai.

Salzburg made breezy start to the second half and were ahead just inside a minute into the half as Andreas Ulmeras’s cross was met with a header from Berisha putting his side 2-1 up.

The lead was short lived as Felix a counter attacking play from Atletico Madrid leaving the Portuguese international with a tap-in situation to equalize before lashing in the winner following a low cross into the box.
