In a game that was wonderful, Bragantino claimed a 3-2 victory over Mirassol on Thursday at the Kleber Andrade stadium. The game was valid for the first phase of the Copa do Brasil.

Artur broke the deadlock and gave Bragantino the lead after 14 minutes. Massa Bruta were looking the largely dominant side but it all turned around soon enough.

Still in the first half, Mirassol were able to turn the game around.

Defender Reniê grabbed the equalizer for the hosts in the 23rd minute. Mirassol grew into the game and completed the come-back with full-back Moraes three minutes before the break.

Just at the start of the second half, Ytalo leveled the scoring again with a neat strike. The game seemed to be headed for a stale-mate but there was drama late on. In the third minute of stoppage time, Cuello grabbed the winner for Bragantino that saw them advance in the Copa do Brasil.

Bragantino will face Luverdense-MT in the next round of the Copa do Brasil. At this stage of the competition, games would be decided by penalties in the event that they end in a stalemate.

Speaking after the game, Claudinho said: “Victory in overcoming. We went ahead, Mirassol managed to turn. We listened to what Maurício said and we managed to turn around in the second half. Congratulations to the team”.

The qualification for the second phase will see Bragantino earn a good financial reward. Due to its participation in the first phase and qualification to the second, Massa Bruta will get about R $ 2 million. Regardless of their elimination, Mirassol will get R $ 560 thousand for themselves.
