Still in the first half, the home side had a second penalty, Victor Luis took the spot kick for missed failing to put his side further in the lead. 

At the start of the second half, in the 51st minute, Leandro Carvalho had his share in the game and got into the score sheetleveling things up for his side yet again. The game finished with a point apiece for both sides. 

With the shared points, Botafogo stays in 14th place with 20 points. Depending on the results of other team, they might be in the relegation zone at the end of the round. 

Ceará in 11th place has 23 points. The team from Rio de Janeiro will return to the pitch against Cuiabá at the Arena Pantanal next Tuesday. The game marks the return game of the round of 16 of the Brazil Cup. 

Vozão, in the same competition, will face Santos next Wednesday at the Castelão. 

After the match, Botafogo left back Victor Luis spoke about his penalty miss. 

“I gave the ball to him (Honda) to take the shot, then he asked me to take it. As he had already scored the first, I told him to score it, but he said: “Beat you”. I had the chance to have the victory at my feet and I fully assume the tie. I’m a man of character, I’m running as fast as I can. But I think it’s more worthy of me to take over”.
