Midfielder Arthur is set to return in place of Fernandinho for Brazil’s second Copa America group phase match against Venezuela in Salvador on Tuesday night.

The Barcelona man missed Friday night’s 3-0 win over Bolivia after injuring his knee in the pre tournament friendly against Honduras.

There were fears that Arthur would miss the tournament, but these do not appear to have been realised, as the player joined in with full training this weekend.

Fernandinho trained with the substitutes, while Arthur trained with what is likely to be the starting XI on Tuesday.

Roberto Firmino also looks set to keep his place upfront ahead of Gabriel Jesus, with Firmino also training with the first XI.

Full-back Eder Militao is fit after experiencing some pain in his hip during the weekend, but City goalkeeper Ederson will not be considered as he has a calf injury.
