Germany star Thomas Muller says that Brazil are with Germany amongst the favourites for
this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Muller was part of Germany’s 2014 World Cup winning team, scoring in the 7-1 humiliation of the Seleção in Belo Horizonte.

“Brazil has developed well. They have good young players and some new ones who are very good. But no team in the world is unbeatable.

“Football is a game in which anyone can win. Great teams can easily defeat each other. That's the difference for other sports. You can go to the Olympics and know that the US will win the title in basketball.

“Brazil was in the semifinal in 2014, so it was a good team. But in this sport, in the end, they had 20 bad minutes. Actually, 20 really bad minutes. And that was their problem.”

His opinion is backed up by Bayern Munich teammate and Colombia star James Rodriguez, “Brazil always plays the role of winning the World Cup. There is a very strong squad that can become champions.”
