AC Milan forward Bojan has praised his injury-plagued teammate Alexandre Pato by saying the Brazilian is the greatest centre-forward he has seen.

Pato, 23, has only played three games in Serie A this season following his comeback from an abductor injury.

The striker played for Brazil at the London 2012 Olympics and was set to start the season anew, but a setback came as he suffered a groin tear in pre-season.

Pato’s career has been hampered by numerous injuries  which have affected his time with the Rossoneri, but Bojan believes Pato just needs to regain his confidence.

The former Barcelona player said: “He is the greatest centre-forward I have seen, he does not have to prove anything.

“He just needs to play and regain his confidence.”

The Seleção international has also been highly-praised by Brazil boss Mano Menezes and other teammates such as Stephan El Shaarawy, despite his problems with injury.

AC Milan are currently eleventh in the league having picked up just 14 points from 11 games.
