The 27-year-old managed to play the whole of the first half in Barça’s 5-3 La Liga win at the Camp Nou, but suffered a knock just before the interval, and was forced to stay behind in the dressing room.
Barcelona confirmed the setback in a statement on their official website, which read:
”The worst piece of news from this Tuesday’s match against Granada is that Adriano Correia will be on the sidelines for 10 days. FC Barcelona’s Medical Services have diagnosed the Brazilian defender with a semimembranosus muscle elongation in his right leg.”
Adriano will consequently miss Barcelona’s away league fixture against Real Mallorca on Saturday, and the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against AC Milan at the San Siro next Wednesday.
