Colorado was twice ahead on the scoreboard but surrendered their leads to the Paraná side in a result that sees their championship leadership threatened. Yuri Alberto and Nonato scored the goals of the hosts, but Giovanni Augusto and Sabino leveled matters.

The result is better for Coxa who leaves the relegation zone at the debut of coach Rodrigo Santana in what is a welcome relief for the manager.

There was some VAR intervention as always that saw Inter go a man down. Seven minutes into the second half, Heitor hit Robson’s thigh in a move close to the touchline. Referee Dyorgines de Andrade was called to VAR to look at the move in the video and. On his return, he applied a direct red card to the player who had received a yellow card minutes before.

With the tie, Inter reaches 36 points and could lose the lead to Flamengo still in this round. The team from Rio de Janeiro faces Atlético-MG in a later clash. Coritiba reaches 20 points and ends the round outside the relegation zone. The team from Paraná is in 14th place and will keep an eye on the duel between Bahia and Botafogo which face each other this Sunday.

For the BrasileirãoInter will return to the field next Saturday. Colorado will face Santos in Vila Belmiro. Before that, they will play their first game of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Brasil against América-MG on Wednesday in Beira-Rio. Coritiba, on the other hand, has a full week for training and will return to the Brazilian Championship only next Monday against Bahia at Couto Pereira.
