Indeed, in addition to his expulsion against Marseille, Beraldo already had three warnings in the championship. However, according to the regulations, a player receiving three yellow cards over a period of ten matches is automatically suspended for the following match. Beraldo was therefore already under threat of suspension for having received cards during the 23rd, 27th and 15th days of Ligue 1. His exclusion against OM, added to this accumulation of cards, therefore justifies the sanction of two matches pronounced by the authorities.

This decision logically deprives PSG of its Brazilian central defender for the next two games, namely the Coupe de France match against Rennes and the reception of Clermont in the championship.
