England have revealed the list of players called up for the match against Brazil

England have unveiled the list of 25 footballers to face Brazil on March 23 at Wembley and Belgium three days later in the same London stadium. Debuts, comebacks and a few surprises are part of coach Gareth Southgate’s call-up, with significant absences.

Among those receiving first call-ups to the Three Lions are Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite and Newcastle striker Anthony Gordon. This is also the first call-up since November 2020 for Liverpool central defender Joe Gomez.

Another player returning to the call-up is Ivan Toney, the Brentford striker who recently completed his disciplinary suspension. Additionally, returning after recovering from injuries are John Stones from Manchester City and left-back Ben Chilwell from Chelsea.

Those who are in the infirmary and will miss the friendlies are Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Luke Shaw (Manchester United) and Kieran Trippier (Newcastle).

Two of the players who shine on the world stage will be present during the matches: Jude Bellingham, top scorer of the season with Real Madrid, and Harry Kane, who scored his fourth hat-trick last Saturday with Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.
