Brazilian forward Robinho fondly remembers his time at Manchester City, but insists the English players were even more keen for a night out than the Brazilian players.
Robinho joined City in 2008 and lined up alongside compatriot Elano. The player admits that he had an active social life during his two-year spell in England.
He told Marca, “I liked Manchester, the club, the restaurants… but let’s not forget the discos. I liked having fun. But the English players went out more than the Brazilians.
“Joe Hart was always out, Micah Richards and Shaun Wright -Phillips the same.” Robinho says he does regret not winning a trophy during his time in Manchester, however.
“I was a champion at all the clubs I played, except City. If I regret something it’s not winning trophy with City, it’s the only thing that I’m a bit sad about.”
