Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was relieved to see Gabriel Jesus score twice in City’s 4-1 victory over Burnley on Tuesday night.

The Brazilian opened the scoring with a curling shot and later added to his tally to help vanquish Sean Dyche’s side at Turf Moor.

With Sergio Aguero injured, Jesus’ contribution is crucial in the coming games and Guardiola was glad to see the 22-year old deliver.

“We’ve lost an incredible striker in Sergio so we need him, he needed to score these two goals. These goals will help him and the team. He scored two incredible goals.”

The game marked the end of an 8 game scoring drought for Jesus, the goals also mean his last 10 strikes for City have come away from home.
