‘I’m Back and I am Happy’ Beams David Luiz
Chelsea defender David Luiz says he is delighted with how his season is going under the tutelage of new boss Maurizio Sarri.
Luiz fell out of favour last season with previous boss Antonio Conte, who left the club during the summer to be replaced by his compatriot Sarri.
Luiz has since been restored to the team and the Brazilian says he is delighted to be back playing regular football.
“I love playing football, it's so good for me to be on the field doing my job, even more in the positive way we're doing it.
“It was hard not to have played last year with the injuries. But what matters is that I'm back and happy to do what I love,” he said.
"Sarri is a great coach who is trying every day to implement his philosophy of work. He is a guy who likes to play with the ball on the ground, lots of possession and movement to make joyful and beautiful football.
“At the same time that we are pursuing our goals. He wants us to be happy because that is the most important thing in life, regardless of the work you do."
