Fluminense have appointed former Vasco boss Renato Gaúcho as Joel Santana’s replacement.
Santana was sent packing after just ten games in charge presiding over a disappointing five wins and failing to reach the semi-finals of the Campeanato Carioca.
Gaúcho, the club’s eighth coach in under two years was officially presented to the press and public yesterday.
He revealed, “It is a great satisfaction to return here. I am very happy – it’s the realisation of a dream”
This will be his forth spell at the club.
