Santos have completed the signing of striker Richard Luca for their U20 team. The 18-year-old was highly rated within the club, but did not reach an agreement to renew the bond. The contract with Santos is for three years and Goiás will keep 20% of the economic rights of the player. Richard came to be observed by Barcelona and spent a few days in Spain earlier this year, when he met Brazilian star Neymar. Santos got good reviews about the teenager, who has represented the Brazilian national team at youth level. However, Richard couldn’t debut as a professional for Goiás. Santos have been looking for new talents to add to their U20 side, following the underwhelming results recently. Richard Luca said: “I had three official proposals, but Santos was my childhood dream and I’m very happy to have realized that dream. I thank God! I have Neymar as an idol, I hope to write a story here as beautiful as him!”
