Premier League champions Leicester City were told what to do to count on Grêmio attacker Luan, who has been called up to the Brazilian squad for the Olympic Games.
During a meeting last Thursday, Luan’s agent Jair Peixoto heard from Leicester City representative Anderson Perry about the project for the attacker and also discussed how to bypass the restrictions to forward his registration in the Premier League. Luan is yet to play an official match for the Brazilian senior national team, and doesn’t meet the percentage of minimum matches stipulated by the British for the entry of foreigners in the league.
Jair Peixoto told ESPN Brasil: “Luan could be entered as a ‘special player’ also. He falls within that category, so there won’t be any obstacles in case of an agreement. It was a conversation for presenting what we wanted as the model of a business, our ideas and what we plan to achieve. There’s no deadline to make the proposal. It could be tomorrow or in ten days.”
