Chinese group Suning had completed the purchase of a 70% stake in Italian club Inter Milan.
Following this announcement, Italian press published information that the Chinese group, who also owns the team Jiangsu Suning, can pass on Brazilian midfielder Ramires and attacker Alex Teixeira to the Italian club. Both were signed in January for a combined fee of approximately €80 million. The former Chelsea man confirmed to Globo Esporte that he attended the event where the leaders announced the acquisition of Inter, but said that he wasn’t informed about a possible transfer to Milan.
Ramires said: “I was present in the event where they announced the purchase of Inter Milan, but none of the leaders at Jiangsu told me directly about the influence that this partnership can have in my future. Inter Milan, they’re a club that needs no comment, and I think fondly about the chance to play in Italy. But for now, as I said, there’s nothing concrete.”
He added: “I’m happy in China. Jiangsu are having a good season and my focus is to continue helping this project, which I believe will continue to receive the same attention and investment by Suning. If the situation changes, I will sit down with my manager and my family to define what will be best for us.”
