Once linked to Manchester United, Rodrigo Dourado can leave Internacional this summer
Internacional's 21-year-old midfielder Rodrigo Dourado, who's expected to compete in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, is in the sights of European clubs.
Rodrigo Dourado is still recovering from a muscle injury, but European clubs are keeping an eye on the youngster. Dourado is one of those tipped to represent the Brazilian national team in the Olympic Games this August, and according to UOL Esporte, enquiries from European teams to sign the player has intensified in recent weeks. Teams from Portugal, Spain and England have made consultations for Dourado, but both Internacional and his staff ensure that they haven't received proposals in 2016. With the summer transfer window approaching, contacts from Europe has increased recently and the club are expecting proposals. Dourado has been a regular at Inter for the past two seasons, and Premier League side Manchester United were reportedly following him last year. Dourado, who hasn't played since two months due to a muscle injury, slipped in the bathroom at home and this delayed the return to training. The contract between Inter and Rodrigo Dourado is until June 2019. The club holds 75% of his economic rights.
