Major revelation of Palmeiras in recent years, young attacker Gabriel Jesus interests Italian side Juventus.
According to the information from Tuttosport, a lawyer representing the player is in Turin for talks with the Italian club’s leaders. The 19-year-old has been in very good form since the turn of the year, and is contracted with Palmeiras until 2019. For foreign clubs, the youngster has a fixed release clause of €40 million. However, Palmeiras own just 30% of his economic rights. In an interview with UOL Esporte last week, he said that playing in Europe is not on his short-term plan. He said: “That’s out of the question. I’m at Palmeiras, and I do not think about leaving now. Maybe one day I would have the opportunity to play there. I’ll be happy.”
Gabriel Jesus scored a goal in Palmeiras 2-0 victory against São Bernardo at Allianz Park on Monday, which sealed a place in the semifinals of the Campeonato Paulista.
