Seven players from the youth system of the club have exchanged Santos for rivals Corinthians between December 2014 and March 2016.
Over the past 12 months, there were three, and in recent days, four more have made their way to Corinthians. Santos haven’t profited with the transfers, as all seven players were released by the club’s board for free. Practically all players, who have different agents, were signed by Corinthians for the youth team. With call ups for Brazil’s youth teams, wing-back Hurick signed a two-year contract in December 2014. In September 2015, he was followed by midfielder Jairo, who was once considered one of the main talents of Santos’ youth divisions and he has also represented Brazil. Both players were born in 1998 and formed a part of the youth team.
In recent days, Corinthians signed four players who left Santos recently, all born in 1999. They are: goalkeeper Diego Andrade, defender Michel Bennech, midfielder José Cleberton and striker Vinícius Venerada.
