Fluminense’s 19-year-old attacking midfielder Robert is on the verge of completing his one-year loan transfer to Barcelona.
According to Globo Esporte, with the one year loan close to being formalized by Fluminense, the Spanish club have sent the tickets to the player and he travels to Barcelona on Saturday night alongside his family. Robert is expected in the club’s headquarters on Monday to undergo medical tests and sign the contract. The information was confirmed by businessman Vitor Leal, of the company Vitor Kn Soccer; he said: “It is a unique opportunity in the life of Robert. It’s great for him to have the interest of one of the biggest clubs in the world. Robert is very happy and is looking forward to be able to start training as soon as possible.”
Barcelona have been reportedly following Robert for the last three years, and the agreement between the clubs allow Barcelona to purchase him at the end of the loan spell for €5 million.
