Ronaldinho Gaucho has once again reaffirmed that he has no plans to retire from football just yet.

The 35 year old is clubless after a period of just two months and nine appearances with Rio club Fluminense was terminated by mutual consent. Ronaldinho is said to be currently studying offers from outside of Brazil, but rumours have resurfaced that he may decide to retire, after ill-fated spells with Fluminense and with Mexican club Querétaro.

Speaking at a news conference in Mexico, Ronaldinho addressed those rumours, “I still want to enjoy football. I am well and not thinking about retiring.” However, the former World Player of the Year would not be drawn on where he might move to next, with his brother and agent Roberto insisting they were still studying offers. It is suspected that Ronaldinho will play in a developmental league, either in America, China or the Middle East.

The ex-World champion also affirmed his confidence that the national team would soon be able to reach its peak once more, “Prior to this team formed, there was a generation of players who worked together for a long time, but there comes a time when there is change.

“There are many talented young people and a good coach. I think it’s a matter of time before the Seleção retrieve the beautiful game and again begin to give pleasure to the world.” Ronaldinho said.
