Brazilian club Corinthians may be even more closer to selling their club record signing Alexandre Pato in the January transfer window.
The player, who is currently on loan at São Paulo, was seen dining at a hotel with football agents Giuliano Bertolucci, Kia Joorabchian and the former president of Corinthians, Andrés Sánchez. The 26-year-old forward, who is in fine form this year for the Tricolor, has never hid his desire to return to European football. It was widely reported in Brazil that Corinthians has approved Bertolucci and Kia Joorabchian to find proposals for Pato, and this meeting is believed to be part of the negotiations. Reports from BAND last week had claimed that German club Borussia Dortmund are willing to make an offer of €10 million for Pato in January, just after a journalist from GOAL Brasil revealed Schalke and Tottenham Hotspur would also be planning proposals.
