With the Copa America in full swing it seems that every football fan now has their eyes on Neymar as Brazil battle for the title.

But there is one player in the Seleção camp who is striving to match the impact of the Barcelona forward. Willian has quietly kept things ticking over in Dunga’s midfield and now feels he deserves more recognition.

During the match against Peru, Willian made the most passes out of everyone and had a 94% completion rate. The player was the fulcrum of all Brazil’s play and reveals he is just doing what Dunga has asked of him.

“Passing and moving has always been my way of playing,” explained Willian. “I always like playing this way, you attack the opponents with short quick passes. We have Neymar, who likes to play this type of football, but I also like to play this way. I hope we both continue to work in tandem.”
