Shandong Luneng striker Tardelli is ready to win his place in the side back from Roberto Firmino and lead the Seleção to glory in Chile this month.
He missed Brazil’s last four fixtures and Hoffenheim’s Firmino was used a false-9, but Tardelli believes he can win his starting berth back. He told Globo: “I was afraid and worried that I would lose my place, but at the same time I found confidence in my performances against Argentina and Colombia. I was a little nervous when I was first called up, but everything went well and Dunga is being very consistent in his selection, keeping his promise that if a player remained dedicated to the cause, he would return.
